ORIGINS
Allison Carroll Co. is a small workshop that is supported by family and friends who constantly source and salvage reclaimed wood and materials. They are the backbone of the shop fueling inspiration and creativity.
Allison Carroll comes from a family and extended family of artists, architects and photographers, she has been in the arts for over 20 years. After a mentorship with her uncle- master craftsman Kurt Walters she now works primarily with reclaimed wood and organic materials. Working with reclaimed woods and often green woods her pieces continue to change and warp over time giving the works unique and interesting shapes.
She draws on inspiration from multiple artists within her family and extended family- Potters Billie Walters & Nicola Walters. Sculptor Leigh Walters and Painters Robert Walters, Stella Krauss & Billy Carroll just to name a few.
