CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  • To help maintain the natural wood beauty and integrity, recondition your wood with ALLISON CARROLL CO. WOOD WAX, Refined Walnut or

Danish Oil at least every six months or if the wood begins to look dull or feel rough to the touch.

  • Even if your Allison Carroll Co. product is used infrequently, the air will naturally dry out the wood over time. Make sure to recondition your products to prevent cracking.

  • Apply wood wax one or two table spoons at a time, and work into the  wood with a soft clean cloth. Let sit for 15 minutes, overnight is best. Add more oil until the desired shine is reached.

  • Keep the newly oiled bowl, sculpture or board from coming into contact with fabric or porous surfaces as the oil may transfer.

  • BOARD CARE: After hand washing, allow your board to air dry over night (or 12 hours) in a drying rack so air can reach both sides of the board. This will prevent warping and mold from growing. Do not store damp boards directly on a countertops or in a cupboard.

  • Do Not: Put Allison Carroll Co. products in the dishwasher, microwave or oven. Hand wash with soap and water- dry completely.

WHERE DO YOU SOURCE YOUR WOOD?

Allison Carroll Co. have a few different wood sources based out of New Mexico and Colorado but the majority of our woods come from the four corners and the southwest. That is EXTREMELY local as far as wood imports go.

THERE ARE MARKINGS ON THE WOOD PRODUCTS. WHAT ARE THEY FROM?

Our wood products are treated with premium wood oil, so the grain is as natural as it can possibly be. Therefore the wood shows its natural markings and sometimes carving marks. These markings can be small dark pitch line pockets, variations in colors of the rings of wood, sap wood or carving lines. Each tree, product and cut will never be the same. The unique differences are what make Walters & Carroll Co. products one a kind, beautiful and interesting pieces.
